Article of the Week

Updated Hotel Price Index

Hey everybody; got some exciting news this week.  Hotel News Resource recently published an updated Top Domestic Destinations for Americans list.  Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) enough, Charlotte and Denver showed the most growth in tourist traffic while Las Vegas, NV and New York, NY remain in the top two.

Definitely give the article a look if you haven't already.  Next week I'll be focusing in on some of the more popular hotels in both Charlotte and Denver and providing a relative comparison to the trends that I discover.  Keep an eye on these rolling stones in the meantime!

Welcome to Hotel Trends!

Week 1…

Hey hospitality fans!  I'm super excited to get this blog started.

If you love the hotel industry like I do, you'll be excited to learn that, each week, I'll deliver my latest findings on what's "hot" and what's "not working" for both large and small hotel companies.  Keep an eye on this if you're looking to improve your own work environment.

Additionally, I'll provide a monthly Vacation Craze post.  This will be great for those of you readers on the hunt for a last-minute getaway.

Bear with me; this part's exciting… I am proud to announce the creation of the Best & Worst Hotel of the Year awards.  I'm aware that many companies have their own listings for the best and worst, but as a college student, I'm very excited to compile some research and create a more accurate, unbiased ranking (and a cute mini-magazine on the results, yay!).

These are some highlights to look forward to during the first year of the blog!  As always, feel free to comment and let me know of any suggestions throughout the year.  See you through the blog!

Hugs and hospitality,
Ashley
